Melanie Rudy
My love of sewing began at 7 years of age. Trained in Fashion Design with a Sewing Major at Olds College in Alberta, Canada, I have furthered my art and business studies at the University of Regina, SIAST, and the Calgary School of Art in Canada, as well as attending many other art and quilting workshops.
I belong to the Chinook Guild of Fibre Artists in Calgary, and am a member of the Chapel Gallery in North Battleford, SK. My work has been featured in Gallery settings. I enjoy teaching modern quilting techniques, often from my scrap bag and inspired by color concepts. Often asked about color theory by my fellow quilters, I began blogging to enhance my hands-on demonstrations for guilds and quilt retreats. Please enjoy!
