The name says it all for this Lightning Fast Mini Quilt. Small quilt projects give you the sense of satisfaction that comes with finishing a quilt, but they can be finished in just a few hours. This super-fast, colorful mini quilt is also a wonderful stash-buster. With white background squares, you can choose any fabrics as accent colors.

I also love this quilt. I think it's all about the fabric you pick--the pattern itself is great!

I know the comments are a year old, but wow, who needs that negativity. I was taught years ago, in art there is no such thing as "good" or "bad" art, it's a matter of whether or not it appeals to you. The only thing ugly here are the comments made Steph and Brownstone. I think it would be fun to try a solid color in place of the white or maybe a print with the little pieces being solid colors. Thanks for the inspiration and the tutorial.

I have just completed this amazing quilt in white with purple/gold fabric for the lightning strikes. I think it looks awesome. So simple and a lovely weekend project. I will be making another one at least.

I think you are both wrong, Steph and Ferntrudeau, this is very visually appealing. If you are not fond of color on white that is fine you are entitled to your own opinion but I made this for my granddaughter and she loves it!! It is not unusual for her friends to comment and ask where she got it. I also have a request to make another.

I love the quilt personally.....great job!!! I will be making a few of them!!

Sorry, but that is a really ugly quilt, it would look better I think with the colours reversed, small white, larger coloured.

I love this tutorial. You did a great job. Looking forward to more tutorials from you.

I completely agree with you, Steph. There is nothing visually appealing about this color combination.
