The Double Crossed Quilt is a wonderful pattern for beginner quilters looking for a simple and quick lap quilt pattern to work on over the weekend.
From the Blogger: "A very quick to sew together quilt. It is a 64 x 64 inch throw quilt using 16 14-inch blocks. When sewn together the block corners create a secondary smaller cross. It's a great way to use up various scraps or a FQ bundle and 1 1/2 yards for the background. The block uses 3 inch strips for the background and main crosses and 2 1/2 inch strips for the seconary crosses."
