Well this is about as easy as it gets for a baby blanket. I like the idea of minky on the back but I've never sewn with it before and the texture of it makes me nervous. What are some hints you have for sewing with it? Does it shrink a lot like flannel? What size needle and stitch do you use when sewing it? I know it needs a lot of pinning, is there any other advice you might have? I loved the printed fabric this woman used in her tutorial. It was really cute.

Another fast and adorable baby quilt project. You could make this even more cozy by using minky for the back. This quilt could be easily made into a crib set by making a small matching wall hanging and maybe even a matching window topper. You could even make this into a much larger quilt for an older child. I love the fast projects posted on this site. It keeps me busy all week!

This easy baby blanket is just what I would make as a gift, for my small pets, and as a lap quilt for myself.

I make mine a bit longer, and I use flannel on both sides, but I just use a decorative stitch all around the edge to finish. I like your fusible webbing idea, how you use two different fabrics, and your double stitching ideas. Nice for a change of pace!
