Trip Around the World Bed Quilt

The trip around the world quilt pattern is a classic piecework pattern involving only uniform squares, but it can be stressful to make if you piece the squares individually. Strip piecing makes this pattern for a Trip Around the World Bed Quilt super easy! You may use a combination of either 5 different fabrics or 9 different fabrics to make this stunning quilt.

This Around the world bed quilt is so stunning. I love the colors and the style of this quilt. I am new to quilting so as many times as I read this it is still a little confusing but i will save it for future use I hope. I really wish there was a video to this or one similar to understand it more. I still would love to see some finished ones from other readers for some inspiration. Anyone make one?

If you click on my picture of the quilt below, it pops up into a full-size picture so you can see both the back and the front of the quilt I made using this pattern. The instructions given here are really easy to follow without a video. I fully intend to make more quilts with other color combinations.

Sorry! You have to click on the picture of my quilt that appears above in the section "Images from other Quilters" to get the full-size image.

I love this quilt! Strip piecing, nesting seams make it quick and easy. I also made the backing and binding from the same fabric as the front with a few stray blocks thrown in for good measure.

This quilt would look lovely in a bedroom - especially if you love the color purple!

i think this is so pritty whould love to make this with these color

Thank You for having this pattern (trip around the world) available. My grand-daughter (18 yrs.old) has taken an interest in sewingquilting and I wanted something that be fun and productive for her at an up coming quilt retreat. Tks. from a new subscriber just today.
