Old Money Quilt
Grab some vintage fabric or a series of scrap quilt pieces and make a Chinese coin quilt pattern with this Old Money Quilt tutorial. The stacked coin quilt tutorial itself is pretty quick, but it makes a lasting impact with the powerful way the sashing is designed in contrast to the rest of the quilt colors. It'll really fit in with other vintage patterns and quilt blocks, but can be given a more contemporary twist as well depending on your fabric. This fan favorite pattern is one of the most-loved traditional designs on our site!

I love this quilt and would love to make it soon. I think it is a great way to use up your scraps and also use some of my husbands old shirts that he wore to work to make money, now "old money". Wouldn't that be fun? I really like the black border fabric too, that makes all the other colors really pop. The tutorial is for a mini quilt, but it is easy enough to follow and just make it larger for a bed quilt. Looks super fun to make too.

This quilt looks like a great stash buster. I'm always looking for ways to use up my scraps with an easy pattern. I really like the look of this one and the suggestion to use vintage fabrics as well. I think any fabric would be nice though. What are some ways you all use up your stash?
