I have never made a quilt before and had already chosen a pattern to make for my first one. Now I have changed my mind and will be trying my hand at this beautiful Nine Patch Quilt Block. It's going to be for our youngest daughter and she is selecting the fabrics which might present me with an 'interesting' assortment )) but I am really looking forward to getting started.

The disappearing 9 patch is such a great and versatile block. I enjoy making baby quilts using this method and a charm pack of cute baby boy or girl fabric. It's also a great block to use if you are teaching someone how to quilt, especially a young person. I do love the Moda charm packs but I know there are many other lines out there. Missouri Star Quilt Company often has nice sales on them. Where do you all like to shop for your precut fabrics?
