Lay back with a good book and imagine you are cuddled up in the mountains in front of a roaring fire with this stunning Misty Mountain Quilt Pattern. This gorgeous zig zag quilt pattern shows you how to use fabric scraps to make a quilt that resembles the rugged landscape of the mountains. Perfectly sized to be your next favorite lap quilt pattern, you could even make this out of flannel fabric to give it that true mountain man (or woman) feel. This tutorial includes several different ways to lay out this quilt, as well.

I love the chevron detailing of this quilt. The zig-zag pattern really gives it a nice amount of visual interest and the colors are subtle.
