"This mug mat is easy to make, and uses a shape that's very popular right now - hexagons! The top is sewn together using the English paper piecing technique, but with straight, simple seams so a beginner can try out those skills. The rest is finished on the sewing machine, making it a fairly quick project. The fussy cut center is a great way to showcase a favorite fabric. This is a good project to keep in mind for gift giving!"
