Royal Family Heirloom Quilt
Make any friend feel like a queen when you give them this elegantly small handmade quilt gift. The Royal Family Heirloom Quilt is a lovely pattern for a quilted sofa throw if you have a floral fat quarter quilt pattern made of bold reds, deep purples, and buttercup yellows. This tutorial does an excellent job of providing step-by-step instructions about piecing quarter square triangles and half square triangles together to construct an antique-looking quilt pattern. Your friends will be so amazed to learn you made this super fat quarter quilt in a single weekend.

I am wondering you could make the quit but do the edges like a rag quit by leaving material beyond the seam and then clipping them to make them fray. I would only do the edges in this way, making the rest of the quilt by the pattern. I am not a seasoned quilter so if anyone might know if this would work, I would really appreciate your help!

Can this be made using a serger. I am fairly new at quilting but really like to serge all my projects. Pat
