Stacks & Stacks of Scraps Quilt Block
Have you ever realized that making quilt block patterns can be one of the most enjoyable and easy ways to use your old scrappy quilt patterns? That's why the nifty design of the Stacks & Stacks of Scraps Quilt Block is a fantastic project to make if you have tons of multicolored scrap quilt fabric from previous quilting projects. Not only is this one of the easiest quilt patterns for beginner quilters, but the seemingly overlapping design of this block can be completed in less than an hour. In addition, you can make this free quilt block extra unique by using fabric made of different materials to achieve a cool mixed media look.

Great idea, thank you. Am making this now and have used pinwheels for the center instead of half square triangles. Always have lots of pinwheel blocks because I cannot throw out the cutoffs from triangles used in other quilts. Am going to pass this idea along to my church quilting group. Everyone has lots of scraps.
