The Bold and Beautiful Irish Chain Quilt Block is easily one of the most striking Irish chain quilt patterns you'll see today. This single Irish chain quilt block is simple, but stunning. There is no end to what kind of creative projects you can make with a block like this, which lends itself to lots of variation and scrap quilting. Coordinate the colors of your solid fabric with a color in your patterned fabric to create an amazing 3D effect. The geometric focus of the Irish chain design means you can make all kinds of interesting and dynamic projects!

Could someone tell me where the "ADD" button is so I can add patterns to my basket?

Hello! If you scroll down below the pattern you will see a row of buttons including one for Pinterest and Facebook. In this row, click "Add" and the pattern will be added to your quilt basket.

I really like the tutorial for this quilt block. It is very thorough and the step-by-step photos are excellent. I think a beginning quilter could easily follow these instructions and construct this block, then sew together more, as many as are needed for the size quilt they wish to make. I have always wanted to make an Irish Chain quilt with greens and ivory or white fabric as homage to the Emerald Isle. Since I have Irish heritage, this would truly be a labor of love for me! Another one on my "to make" list. What color fabrics would you choose for your Irish Chain?

I love using pink and grey fabric together. That is one of my favorite color combos around!

me too, if they are the right shades.
