From the Designer: "After a quilting storm, there is an array of scraps that can create even more beauty. Get two quilts for the time of one! How you might ask? Instead of using leaders and enders in your next project, sew 2.5” squares and half square triangles together. Soon, you’ll have a beautiful Drops of Rainbow quilt instead of a basket of wasted leaders and enders. This quilt uses 2.5” squares and 2.5” half square triangles. Got a few extra jelly roll strips? Cut them up to use in your own personal Drops of Rainbow quilt. It’s a great stash buster with beautiful results!"

I've heard the term "leaders" and "enders" but, I'm not sure I know what they are...??? This quilt is gorgeous!

Leaders and enders are the little scraps of fabric that quilters use to begin sewing on the first patch of a chain. It helps make sure that the thread isn't tangled when you begin sewing on the "real" patch. An ender is used in the same way -- at the end of a chain, use a scrap of fabric (ender) to help finish up the seam and have something to rest the needle on in the down position.

This quilt is absolutely stunning! It looks like a very long-term quilting project to make, but it is absolutely gorgeous.

Thank you -- it can take a long time, but I just love finding ways to use up my scraps!
