How to Make Custom Quilting Stencils

From the Blogger: "Use a dress maker's tracing wheel, printed or drawn paper design, and pounce iron-off chalk to create your own stencils for quilting or hand embroidery. The key is in the craft foam! Foam provides a soft cushion for the tracing wheel to puncture the paper. This allows all stencil lines to have perforated holes. Use this method on large stencils as an alternative to sewing through the lines with an unthreaded needle to create perforations. You'll love this technique!"

NotesNote: This is a wonderful method for larger scale stencil designs, especially ones measuring 20" x 20" in Free-Motion Framework, a book by author Jen Eskridge.
