* Allow extra yardage to match stripes identically.
** Center on motif. Squares are cut on the bias and set square on the quilt.

Also Needed:

  • 48” x 54” backing
  • 48” x 54” batting
  • threads to match
  • scissors, straight pins, acrylic ruler, rotary cutter, and mat

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Sew one SC5333 1” 17-1/2” piece to the top and bottom of the CX5260 rectangle. Sew one SC5333 1” x 24-1/2” piece to each side.
     
  2. Randomly piece (6) 3-1/2” x 4-1/2” pieces from CX5184, CX3584, CX3982 Aqua, and CX2507 Aqua. Make two strips. Sew one to the top and bottom of the quilt. Make two strips of (8) 3-1/2” x 4-1/2” pieces. Sew one CX5276 Gray 4-1/2” squares to each end of each strip. Sew one strip to each side of the quilt.
     
  3. Sew one CX2507 Sorbet 1-1/2” x 26-1/2” piece to the top and bottom of the quilt. Sew one CX2507 Sorbet 1-1/2” x 34-1/2” piece to each side.
     
  4. Sew one CX5276 Petal 3-1/2” x 28-1/2” piece to the top and bottom of the quilt. Sew one CX5276 Gray 3-1/2” square to each end of each CX5276 Petal 3-1/2” x 34-1/2” strip. Sew one strip to each side of the quilt.
     
  5. Sew one CX3982 Coral 1” x 34-1/2” piece to the top and bottom of the quilt. Sew one CX3982 Coral 1” x 41-1/2” piece to each side.
     
  6. Sew one CX5262 4” x 41-1/2” piece to each SIDE of the quilt. Sew one CX5262 4” x 43-1/2” piece to the top and bottom of the quilt.
     
  7. Layer backing, batting, and quilt top. Baste.
     
  8. Quilt as desired.
     
  9. Bind quilt using SC5333 2-1/2” strips pieced as needed for length.
