The Sixteen Patch Baby Quilt is a colorful patchwork pattern that is great for baby boys, in the colors shown. This baby quilt pattern is actually a super fast jelly roll quilt. Piece together jelly rolls, cut, and re-piece to create the sixteen patches. Nine patch quilt patterns bring out the best in quilt fabrics of any color, and this variation allows you to be playful. A patchwork quilt design like this can go from being a simple baby quilt pattern to a childhood keepsake that can be used for years. I really need to make one of these adorable little baby quilts! A few years ago, I made a postage stamp quilt, so I am familiar with this type of piecing. It is nice to add the border fabric around each block of sixteen patches, it sets off the blocks in such a striking way. I have got to make some time this Winter for this one for sure!

I wanted mine a little bigger so I added another row of blocks and contrast sashing around the outside.
