Before you dive into your next sewing or quilting project, you'll want to be sure you have the correct interfacing. Did you know there are different types of interfacing, like sew-in, iron-on, woven, and non-woven? Interfacing is one of those products that can transform your project and make a big difference for that handmade item. Unfortunately, people find working with this intimidating, but it doesn't have to be.

Therm O Web's Heat n Bond Iron-On Fusible Interfacing is easy to use and should be used on your projects from here on out. Made of 100% cotton, this woven material is great for dresses and blouses, but can also be used for those quilted projects like bags and table runners.

To get the best outcome when using interfacing you obviously have to apply it properly and sometimes when it doesn't stick it might bubble to the fabric; make sure the iron is hot enough and there is enough pressure when applying. The lightweight and medium weights may not stiffen bigger projects enough, but they're perfect for smaller projects like I mentioned above, blouses or shirt collars. The heavier stuff is good for quilting and upholstery. With the woven interfacing, it adds strength and stability with minimal stretch to fabrics. Heat n Bond is available in white or black for light and dark fabrics.
